Adat Shalom Preschool is dedicated to acclimating the young child to a school setting that fosters growth, the development of interpersonal skills, and a positive self image. Every day, our students are given opportunities to explore, experiment, and make choices designed to foster their individual interests and abilities. Our developmentally appropriate program is staffed by warm, sensitive teachers who are experienced and highly qualified to guide each child’s learning. From art to cooking, music and movement to physical education, our curriculum offers hands-on learning experiences for children.
Classes are open to all children, regardless of race, religion, or national origin. Stories, songs, arts and crafts, and finger plays are used to introduce Jewish holidays, observances, and traditions to our students. Three-year-old and Pre-K students enjoy weekly Shabbat festivities.
Our head teachers boast degrees from accredited colleges or universities, and have a great deal of experience working with children. But more than that, our entire staff is comprised of caring, patient, and enthusiastic individuals who have your child’s best interest at heart. (Please note that all staff members, and individuals who interact with children in our preschool, have criminal and child abuse clearances on file.)
Our bright, spacious facility includes welcoming, comfortable classrooms, a large play area outfitted with bikes, balls, and indoor climbing equipment, and a fully-enclosed outdoor playground designed specifically for preschoolers.
We also offer a six-week Summer Splash Camp program. Under the guidance of certified teachers, preschool staff, and teen counselors, campers enjoy outdoor water activities and arts and crafts that revolve around a weekly theme.
