Rabbi Moishe Mayir Vogel, Executive Director of The Aleph Institute – N.E. Regional Headquarters will be our guest lecturer on Sunday, April 6, 2025, 10-11:30 am in the Social Hall.
Rabbi Vogel will talk about the outreach to Jewish prisoners & about helping former incarcerated people re-integrate into society. In 1984, soon after receiving his Rabbinical Ordination, Rabbi Vogel spent the high holidays leading services in the Federal Prison Camp in Allenwood, Pennsylvania. Thus began a career of working with Jewish men and women who are incarcerated in the Federal, state and local prisons. In 1991, he settled in Pittsburgh, PA, founding the “Aleph Institute – North East Region,”, and has worked with Federal, state and local officials, in providing for the religious needs of the Jewish men and women incarcerated, and the humanitarian needs of the inmates’ families.
Light refreshments will be served.
There is no charge for this event, however, reservations are REQUIRED by Thursday, April 3rd.
