Adat Shalom has a treasured history of 2 established Synagogues, B’nai Israel of E. Liberty, and Beth Jacob of New Kensington, merging to form Adat Shalom B’nai Israel Beth Jacob.
There are 2 beautiful Mitzvah Trees hanging on the walls in our lobby that honor both B’nai Israel and Beth Jacob. Each Mitzvah Tree is a celebratory tree recognizing birthdays, anniversaries, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs etc. of our congregants. One may purchase a leaf on the tree, or a rock at the base of the tree to acknowledge any milestone, accomplishment, or celebration.
